With LED light market gradually heating up in US, different led tubes with different advantages and different features become popular in US market. Firstly the common led tube with built-in driver, and later the built-in driver led tube able to compatible with electronic ballast starts the first batch energy saving retrofit project when taking advantages of fast and convenient replacement.

Now consumer pays more attention to the more energy-saving and safer product. The defects of existing led tubes with built-in driver confuses people more and more.

1, Since the driver is built within the LED tube, the heating of the driver would increase the working temperature of the led chip, which would cause shorter lifespan of the led tube.  E.g., Some brand led tubes would have problem that the end placing the driver would become dark and not as bright as the other end without driver after one year use.

2,  For led tubes able to compatible with electronic ballast, the ballast would also consume some power, which doesn’t completely fit the concept of energy-saving.
